More transparency and control for your budgeting process
With CMT, the entire planning, approval and controlling of capital expenditure budgets (Capex) and operating expenditures (Opex), such as ongoing maintenance costs, can be managed across all locations in a central web application.

Wienerberger AG, the world's largest brick manufacturer with more than 200 production sites in 28 countries, uses our Capex Management Tool for group-wide planning and controlling of investment and maintenance budgets.
For the entire Wienerberger Group, all budgets for new investments and maintenance measures are planned and managed throughout the fiscal year using CMT. In addition, all other group budgets (overheads) for general investments are managed within the system.
In the Budget Planning, budget proposals can be submitted, cleared with management's budget guidelines and budget approvals can be documented.
In Budget Controlling, expenses already incurred and open orders are tracked. In quarterly controlling, forecast data is collected and all approvals for budget changes are controlled and documented.
Configuration Management allows companies to independently configure their necessary budgeting structures, company data, and budget approval processes.
CMT Collaboration Management ensures direct, cross-location communication throughout the entire budgeting process.
Using the APIs, you can link CMT with your company software (e.g. SAP, pm-smart, Power BI).
In Budget Planning, corporate controlling manages the entire budgeting process. The structure of investment budgets can be freely defined by corporate controlling; for example, the entire investment budget can be categorized into categories such as maintenance, major investments, and maintenance expenditures. Budget approval processes can be freely defined depending on the budget category.
Budget users can enter budget proposals online. Individual KPIs can be defined for each investment type. Budget planning documents (investment calculations, business cases, etc.) are managed centrally in CMT. Management, in turn, can define budget targets. CMT supports all stakeholders in the clearing process.
For the official release of budgets, any approval processes (signature workflows) can be defined in the CMT. After all budgets have been approved according to the structure defined by controlling, central controlling completes the entire budgeting process for the budget period.
Using the pm-smart API, budget data from complex investment projects (projects, programs) can be transferred directly from CMT into our project management tool.
With CMT Budget Controlling, you track all costs of expenditures already incurred or open orders. All posted documents can be transferred to budget controlling via the SAP interface. Quarterly budget controlling documents all impending or already occurring budget plan variances. CMT supports investment controlling in the company-wide, structured recording of quarterly forecast data and budget changes. Budget variances can be recorded both for individual investment projects and at the budget pot level.
The pm-smart API automatically transfers project controlling data from project management to company-wide budget controlling. Project forecast and project change data are then allocated to the budgeting periods defined in the budgeting tool.
With the Configuration Management, you can adapt the Capex Management Tool to your company's structures and processes. Define your budget structures, KPIs, and approval workflows for the budgeting process and import your cost accounting structures (e.g., business units, companies, plants, cost centers, currencies, exchange rates) from your ERP system. Synchronize personal master data with your Active Directory into CMT user management. Use a classic role authorization model to control which people are allowed to perform which activities and view data. Users can also specify substitutes for vacations or absences. Company-specific additional data for budget proposals can also be freely defined using custom fields.
The Collaboration Management system integrated into CMT (CMT Chat) enables location- and time-independent communication in the budgeting process. For example, budget discussion rooms can be used to coordinate budget proposals with budget targets.
In these special group chats, not only can all participants create contributions, but if desired, all decisions recorded in the CMT (e.g., budget target changes, budget approvals) can also be posted automatically.
Using the existing CMT APIs, the budgeting tool can be linked to your ERP system (SAP interface) and, for managing complex investment/maintenance projects, to the pm-smart project management tool. BI tools such as Power BI or Qlik can access CMT data via the reporting APIs.
The CMT web application is based on the Microsoft Blazor technology. Third-party applications can be easily integrated via REST services.
Depending on customer requirements (keyword: data security), the system can be operated both as an on-premise solution and on cloud systems. The cloud hosting offered by EVOLOSO is based on MS Azure.
CMT licensing is available on a purchase or rental basis.
