We were able to win the voestalpine Texas LCC, for the most part owned by the ArcelorMittal Group, as our first customer in the USA. The company produces HBI (Hot Briquetted Iron). HBI can be used as scrap supplement in electric arc furnaces, which enables the production of the most demanding steel grades. It is also used in blast furnaces to increase productivity and reduce coke consumption, or in oxygen blast furnaces as a low-residue scrap substitute.
At the Corpus Christi location, pm-smart supports our new customer in the processing of investment and maintenance projects. Of course with the connection to SAP.
